Harrogate Hospital Radio has announced an exciting new volunteer recruitment campaign, inviting members of the local community to get involved following recent significant investment and development for the station.
With brand-new state-of-the-art broadcasting equipment, new radios installed across the hospital and a new app making listening easier than ever, the station is transforming how it connects with patients, staff, and the wider Harrogate community.
Volunteers who can spare two to three hours per week will also become part of a dedicated and passionate team recently nominated for a King’s Award for Voluntary Services, one of the highest honours recognising outstanding voluntary work in the UK.
Harrogate Hospital Radio is currently recruiting for a variety of voluntary roles, including:
- Radio Presenters
- Technical Support
- Community & Fundraising Initiatives
- Administration & Secretary Support
These roles offer opportunities both on-air and behind the scenes, supporting everything from programme delivery and technical operations to community engagement and station administration. Full training is provided and no prior experience is required, although experience with Myriad Playout systems would be advantageous.
