Miller Homes Yorkshire is continuing along its land acquisition path adding a further site in Harrogate to its forthcoming development portfolio.
The land off Skipton Road in Harrogate has outline planning for up to 135 homes with a current application pending for 133 homes.
“This is another exciting opportunity for the Miller Homes Yorkshire team and we look forward to build commencing in early 2026,” said Ian Thomson, Land Director, Miller Homes Yorkshire. “Harrogate continues to be one of the most desirable and the happiest places to live in the UK, so we’re delighted to be returning after several years following the success of our previous developments at Harlow One, Quercus Green and Chene Hall.”
The scheme will be delivered in partnership with Home Group, and the consent includes 40% affordable housing and a range of properties from one bedroom to five bedrooms.
Although the Section 106 agreement is yet to be finalised, it is anticipated to secure approximately £1.5m in contributions towards education, healthcare, and off-site public open space. The scheme will also deliver on-site open space, enhancements to existing vegetation, and measures to achieve Biodiversity Net Gain.
“This development will not only deliver much needed new homes, but will also add value for the local community, ensuring existing residents will benefit too,” said Ian. “In addition, the site includes the former Cow Dyke Farm, which is proposed to be sold for conversion to residential dwellings. We would welcome any interest in that element being directed to Nicholls Tyreman Estate Agency of Harrogate.”
It is expected that homes for sale at this development will be available from summer 2026.
