Man receives fractured jaw in Harrogate late night street assault

Police are looking for witnesses to an assault that left a man with serious injuries.

Harrogate are saying that it was an unprovoked attack of a 23-year-old man on Parliament Street, between midnight and 3am on Sunday 25 September 2016.

As a result of the assault, the victim sustained a fractured jaw which required surgery at York District Hospital. He has been discharged from hospital.

 

PC Amy Coe, of Harrogate Response and Reassurance, said:

This appears to be an unprovoked attack and we are doing everything we can to track the suspect down and support the victim.

If you have any information which could help to identify the unknown man responsible for this assault, I ask you to contact the police straight away.
