Limited edition Emma Bridgewater mug supporting the HIF

10 February 2016

Shoppers will have the chance to get their hands on an exclusive limited edition Emma Bridgewater mug this weekend.

Harrogate International Festivals’ pop-up stall on the first floor of Victoria Shopping Centre will be selling the especially-made mugs on the afternoon of Saturday 13th February. The mugs have been created to mark the organisation’s 50th anniversary.

Emma Bridgewater is a British ceramics manufacturer founded in 1985, owned and run by Emma Rice (née Bridgewater) and Matthew Rice.

All profits go to its Future 50 Appeal set up to help safeguard the arts charity’s future work.

The mug, which is decorated in Emma Bridgewater’s classic pattern Black Toast, features a celebration of aspects of Harrogate International Festivals’ work over the last 50 years.

Future 50 Appeal Co-ordinator, Lizzie Brewster, said:

The commemorative mug is highly collectable, as well as a fantastic gift for the culture vulture in your life.

Each mug sold helps support our Future 50 Appeal, so as well enjoying a stylish cup of tea, you’ll know you’re helping safeguard the festival for the town.

The mugs cost £20 and 1000 mugs have been produced.
