Two motorcyclists die in collision near Malton

have now confirmed that sadly two motorcyclists died as a result of the earlier today near Malton. The was reported at 11.50am on Friday 2 October 2015.

Two Suzuki motorcycles, who were travelling in opposite directions, collided on the B1257 between Malton and Amotherby.

The two deceased are a man in his thirties from East Yorkshire and a man aged in his sixties, also from East Yorkshire.

are appealing for any witnesses who saw the incident or the events leading up to the to contact them on 101, select option 2 and ask for the Major Investigation Team or email MCIT@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk

The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the collision and to allow investigators to examine the scene. It reopened at 5pm.

Police are not yet in a position to release the identity of the deceased, but will do so when we are able.
