Body recovered from the River Foss in York now named as serving soldier

have now named the man whose body was recovered from the River Foss in on Thursday 9 July 2015.

He has been named as Stephen Charles Fry, aged 20, who was a serving soldier based at Imphal Barracks in . He was originally from Surrey.

An inquest into Stephen’s death is due to open on Wednesday 15 July at 1.45pm, at the Folk Hall, New Earswick, York.
