Appeal following serious collision on B1224 (near to Wetherby Services)

are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic on the B1224.

The collision occurred at around 1.30pm on Monday 8 June on the Sandbeck approach near Wetherby Services.

There were two vehicles involved in the collision, a white Chrysler and a blue BMW. The passenger in the Chrysler, a 77 year old woman from , sustained critical injuries in the collision and was taken to General Infirmary where she remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the Chrysler, a 79 year old man from Pateley Bridge, was also taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.

The driver of the BMW, a 61 year old man from the Durham area was taken to District Hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either of the vehicles prior to it is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police. Dial 101, press option 2 and ask to speak to TC Andy Macleod.
