Police release name of victim in fatal collision near Northallerton

North Yorkshire Police have now released the name of the 30-year-old woman who died in the collision near Hornby, Northallerton in the early hours of Sunday 7 June. She has been identified as Stacey Sandra Marie Callaghan from Ormesby, Middlesbrough.

Officers investigating the collision have today (Monday 8 June 2015) arrested a man in his thirties in connection with the collision. He is currently in police custody for questioning.

The collision happened at around 3.54am in the early hours of Sunday 7 June 2015, on the B1264 which leads from Toll Bar Garage at Entercommon, to Low Worsall.

It occurred at the junction with an unclassified road that leads to Girsby and Over Dinsdale when a silver Ford Ka, travelling towards Low Worsall, left the road and collided with a telegraph pole.
