A59 collision – motorists urged to avoid the area
The emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on the A59 at Kirk Hammerton.
Nobody has been injured in the three-car collision, which occurred at around 1.50pm on Tuesday 2 December 2014. However, officers have closed the road in both directions as one of the vehicles is on fire.
The fire service are currently on the way to the scene and the road will remain closed until they have dealt with blaze.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area at this time if at all possible.
