A Royal thank you to Paperworks

A Social Enterprise with offices in Harrogate and Leeds has been named as one of just forty three recipients of a prestigious, county wide community initiative award.

Paperworks main aim is to provide work preparation training and support to adults with learning, physical and mental health related disabilities. This includes basic work skills, as well as other more specific skills vital in the workplace.

The Duke of York’s Community Initiative is presented annually to a small number of Yorkshire based organisations that having been subjected to rigorous and robust scrutiny are deemed: “of real value to the community, well run and an inspiration to others.”

Paperworks was founded in 1994 to provide work skills training and work experience support to adults with learning disabilities.

Recently the Initiative, which was founded by His Royal Highness The Duke of York in 1998, held its annual awards ceremony at the Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham during which His Royal Highness personally presented recipients of the 2014 awards with their citations.
