Police were called to a property on Bondgate in Ripon at around 8.20am today (9 Sept 2014), following concerns being raised for the safety of a 34-year-old woman.
Specially trained police negotiators are currently remain at the scene.
Police have reassured local resident that there is no threat to the wider public and the woman is not being held captive.
