Deadline approaches to have your say on new Bilton Tesco store

An application has been made to convert the Skipton Public House on the junction of Skipton Road and Bilton Lane in Harrogate into a Tesco store.

While the applicant does not need to apply for planning permission as a change of use, they are applying to make changes to the site, most significantly an entrance on Bilton Lane, opposite Bilton Grange School.

As an extract from the planning application:  14/02786/FUL | Alterations to elevations to include the removal of canopies to side and rear, the installation of one floor mounted condensing unit, 3 wall mounted air conditioning units, 2 doors, and access stairs and ramp with balustrade, erection of 2.4 metre high timber fence, formation of vehicular access, widening of dropped kerb and alterations to car parking to include delivery parking area. | The Skipton Skipton Road Harrogate North Yorkshire HG1 4PS

The general public has an opportunity to comment on the proposed, both for and against. Comments can be made on-line, using the link below. There is a deadline of 5 September 2014 to make comment.
