Man charged with multiple counts following incident at Northallerton Police Station

A 25-year-old man from Darlington, arrested in connection with the incident at Northallerton Police Station on Tuesday 2 September 2014, has been charged with a number of offences.

He is due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 4 September 2014, charged with three counts of making threats to kill, one count of making an explosive device, one count of impersonating a police officer by possessing an item of uniform and one count of possessing cannabis.

Northallerton Police station, along with a number of adjacent buildings, were evacuated during the incident.
