Rumours have been circulating for a a number of weeks that there were an a number of cases of cats being poisoned but they are unfounded say the .

An incident was reported to both the police and RSPCA where an individual had used meat that had been covered in anti-freeze, in the belief that it would act only as a deterrant – the person has been spoken to by the police and the matter now closed.
