Fatal collision near Horton-In-Ribblesdale – woman now named

gail richardsThis is an update following the fatal road traffic near Horton-in-Ribblesdale on Saturday 25 May 2013.

have now named the woman who died, she was Gail Richards, aged 42 and from Bingley, West Yorkshire.

The collision occurred at just after 1pm on Saturday 25 May 2013, on the B6479, near Horton-In-Ribblesdale and involved a black Suzuki motorcycle, which was heading towards Horton-In-Ribblesdale and was overtaking a tractor.

Immediately prior to the collision two other motorcycles had overtaken the tractor. The lead bike in this group who had not been riding with the other two did not stop at the scene. It is the rider of this bike, a black Suzuki ridden by someone wearing black leathers, officers need to trace.

The inquest is expected to be opened and adjourned on 30 May 2013.
