Witness appeal after A59 collision

PolicePolice are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the A59 at Blubberhouses.

The collision involving a black Toyota Corolla and a silver Lexus GS300 occurred at around 5.50pm on Sunday 28 October 2012.

The driver of the Corolla, a 36-year-old woman from Halifax, was cut from her vehicle by the fire service and taken to Harrogate District Hospital suffering from a fractured left hand.

Her two children, aged one and three, were also taken to Harrogate District Hospital as a precaution.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them with information.

The road was closed at Bolton Abbey roundabout and was later reopened at 7.45pm.
