Stockeld Park in Wetherby, Yorkshire is rooting out all budding actors to ask just one question…have you got the Scare Factor?
On Saturday 29th September from 11am-4pm, Stockeld Park hosts Scare Factor auditions to seek out the most petrifying performers. Could this be you? If so, audition this month for a chance to be a part of Yorkshire’s premier scare attraction.
Successful candidates will take part in Stockeld Park’s Fright Nights; 4 nights of horror where the woodland surroundings are transformed into 3 scare zones – the Haunting Grounds, Zombie Outbreak and Gaunt Hill Asylum….
As we’re left wondering whether there is anyone out there that can be that blood-curdling and terrifying, Stockeld Park’s General Manager, Amy Thornton, said:
The Scare Factor auditions are actually a great chance for local actors and theatre enthusiasts to take part in a professional performance with a skilled theatre company . Our Fright Nights have become amazingly successful; it’s not your usual piece of drama, which makes it a rare, challenging and unique opportunity for Yorkshire communities and those from further afield to get involved. We have a range of speaking, non-speaking and ad-libbing roles, so there’s something for all performers to get their teeth into (excuse the pun!).
Andy Meaks, who attended Stockeld Park’s Fright Night 2011 encourages us to ‘picture the scene: live actors, transformed surroundings, sound effects, smell effects, and finding yourself in dark, outdoor woodland…Fright Night is terrifying! For one evening’s entertainment, trust me you’ll be talking about it for days afterwards.’
In addition to being paid for the acting work, cast will have access to footage of the show to download which they can then use in their professional showreel.
Auditions will take place on Saturday 29th September from 11am-4pm at Stockeld Park, Wetherby, Yorkshire, LS22 4AW (for Sat Nav use LS22 4AN). A script is available for the audition process – for more information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org call 01937 586101.
