Witness appeal following motorcycle collision on A65

Police are appealing for information following a serious single vehicle road traffic collision on the A65.

It occurred at 12.30pm on Thursday 24 May 2012, at Cleatop roundabout near Settle and involved a Honda CBR 1100 heading towards Skipton.

The man in his late 40s, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, riding the motorcycle, suffered serious internal injuries which are not thought to be life threatening. He was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital by air ambulance.

Traffic Constable Dave Clayton, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said:

I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have seen the motorcycle prior to the incident. I ask them to contact the police as soon as possible.
