Small fire at waste recycling centre on Wetherby Road

Fire ServiceFire Crews attended a small fire at 11:20am today (22 March 2012) at the Wetherby Road recycling centre in Harrogate.

A single appliance was sent from the Harrogate station and extinguished a small fire in a waste skip. The skip was then cleared of waste to ensure that there was no possibility of re-ignition.

There was no injury to personnel or the general public.
