Harrogate-based exhibition and conference service provider Joe Manby Limited is enjoying a seasonal boost with a renewed contract which was first awarded to the founder of the family run business back in 1974.
The company, run by Joe Manby’s sons Andrew and Richard since 1992, has been reappointed to provide all event services jointly for the Harrogate Christmas & Gift Fair and the Harrogate Nursery Fair through to March 2016.
Seasonal boost: Andrew and Richard Manby
Said director Andrew Manby:
The Harrogate Christmas & Gift Fair boasts a rich history dating back to when it started life as the Harrogate Toy Fair more than sixty years ago.
Our family’s association with the Fair pre-dates Joe Manby Limited. My father first became involved back in 1969 and HITF Limited is one of two original clients, when Joe set up as a specialist event services company in Harrogate five years later. We’re proud to have been involved for the last 37 shows and are now looking forward to building on this long association over the next five years.
The Harrogate Christmas & Gift Fair runs from January 15th – 18th and the Harrogate Nursery Fair, which Joe Manby Limited has been involved with since 1992, takes place from 25th – 27th March 2012. Both events will be using the new £11 million events halls at the Harrogate International Centre.
Robert Anslow, a director of the two shows, commented:
Our involvement with Joe Manby as a company goes back many, many years and during that time the partnership between between ourselves and Joe Manby, which provides all our service requirements for both events, has been second to none.
As an exhibition organiser, the trust we have in them delivering to our standards and the strength in the Manby’s team to accommodate our growth in both shows in the last ten years has given us the confidence to award them a five-year contract.
Despite all the challenges, 2011 has been formative year for Joe Manby Limited, which boasts an annual show portfolio of more than 60 events across 20 UK venues. The company has recently been awarded contracts for the Scottish Technology Showcase in 2012 and 2013, events which promote the cutting-edge technology capability of Scottish businesses. It has also been appointed official services supplier for the 2012 Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Annual Conference.
