Renewables Roadshow returns to HIC in 2012

Following the success of their event at Harrogate International Centre (HIC) in September, the organisers of the Renewables Roadshow have signed up to hold the event at the venue again in 2012.

Harrogate was one of six Renewables Roadshow venues and attracted a large audience of almost 1000 environment industry professionals. With more exhibitors signing up and more visitors expected, organisers needed to increase the shows’ floor space for 2012. They were so impressed by the range and flexibility of the spaces HIC offers, organisers signed up for next year’s event on the spot.

Dan Caesar from the Renewables Roadshow:

Our roadshow at HIC was a great success and attendance was beyond what we expected. Growing interest in the renewables market means we’re planning to expand the show in 2012. HIC’s flexible space means it’s an ideal venue for us to achieve our expansion plans. We also chose venues specifically for their location. HIC has excellent transport links making it easy for visitors to get to, and Harrogate offers everything our visitors need. It’s a great place to do business and we look forward to returning next year.

Alison Griffin, head of sales and marketing for HIC, comments:

Interest in events at HIC remains positive and we’re experiencing a high volume of enquiries. Event organisers are looking for a flexible and friendly yet professional venue, with world class facilities and HIC fits the bill. The opening of the new halls provides event organisers with two additional spaces to complement the already comprehensive exhibition and conference facilities available in Harrogate.

HIC comprises of 8 halls, offering 15,400sq metres of exhibition space including a 2,000 seat auditorium, the Royal Hall with a capacity of 1,000 and the Sun Pavilion suitable for up to 200 guests. In November, new Halls H and G will be officially opened, increasing HIC’s capacity by 20% with an additional 3,100 sq metres of exhibition space.
