Woman unhurt as car hits lamp post

are appealing for witnesses after a car collided with a lamp post in Pannal.

The incident occurred at Buttersyke roundabout, where the A658 meets the A61, at around 7am on Thursday 22 September 2011.

A blue Peugeot 307 travelling towards Knaresborough hit the central reservation before colliding with a lamp post and coming to a stop.

The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old woman from , was uninjured in the .

Officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Traffic Constable Mark Mullins, of Harrogate Roads Policing Group, said:

The occurred on a fairly busy roundabout, therefore I am hopeful that there will have been some witnesses around at the time.

I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened or saw the blue Peugeot prior to the collision to come forward with information.
