Woman unhurt as car hits lamp post

Harrogate police are appealing for witnesses after a car collided with a lamp post in Pannal.

The incident occurred at Buttersyke Bar roundabout, where the A658 meets the A61, at around 7am on Thursday 22 September 2011.

A blue Peugeot 307 travelling towards Knaresborough hit the central reservation before colliding with a lamp post and coming to a stop.

The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old woman from Harrogate, was uninjured in the collision.

Officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Traffic Constable Mark Mullins, of Harrogate Roads Policing Group, said:

The collision occurred on a fairly busy roundabout, therefore I am hopeful that there will have been some witnesses around at the time.

I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened or saw the blue Peugeot prior to the collision to come forward with information.
