Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Belle Isle, Leeds

are appealing for witnesses after an 86-year-old man died following a road traffic in Belle Isle.

At 4.05pm on Saturday (2/7), the man was riding a mobility scooter which was involved in a collision with a Renault Scenic in Sharp Lane, near to the junction with Melton Avenue. It is believed he was crossing Sharp Lane at the time of the incident.

He was unseated from his vehicle by the impact and received serious head injuries. He was taken to General Infirmary where he later died.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 0845 6060606.
