Pupils from the school attented a special assembly this morning (12 May 2011) were they were told about the incident.

Pat Hunter, Head Teacher of Rossett School, said: “We are all naturally shocked and upset by what happened in the early hours of Wednesday, and our thoughts are with David and his family.

“David is an excellent teacher, very well liked by both staff and students, and we are all devastated by what has occurred.”

  3. On behalf of us lot,
Not a day will go by at school where we don’t think about you, your cockney accent and your comical ways, the way you put a smile on our faces during times at school where we were ready to just sack it off. You gave us all a reason to smile even if it was taking the mick out of one of our names or creating a new fun and enjoying way of learning. But one thing I think we can all say is that Sir, Mr Charlesworth, Big C, You will be in our hearts forever and truly and honestly you will never be forgotten.
