Two hurt in Catterick collision with vehicles bursting into flames

North Yorkshire are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic between Catterick Garrison and Tunstall.

The incident involving a black Triumph Daytona motorcycle and a Volvo 850 occurred on James Lane at around 5pm on Thursday 7 April 2011.

As a result of the both vehicles burst into flames and were destroyed by the .

The driver of the Volvo, a 59-year-old man from Catterick Village, suffered burns in the incident and was taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle, where he remains in a stable condition.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 41-year-old man from Skelton in Cleveland, was also seriously injured in the collision and is currently in James Cook Hospital in a stable condition.
