Electricity supplies have now been fully restored to all but one customer following a power cut in central Harrogate this morning. The region’s electricity distributor, CE Electric UK is now investigating the cause of the power cut, which took place after an underground cable was damaged by a third party.

CE Electric UK was notified about the power cut at 9.32am and restored supplies to the vast majority of customers less than an hour later. One customer is currently without electricity and will shortly have their power brought back on using a generator.

CE Electric UK have said they would like to thank affected customers for their patience whilst supplies were restored.

Customers with any concerns are urged to call CE Electric UK’s 24-hour customer relations helpline on 0800 668877.
