Countryside Live is brought to you by the organisers of the Great Yorkshire Show and is a fabulous celebration of food, farming and agriculture which takes place at the Great Yorkshire Showground every October.

Perfect for families, there’s a cookery theatre, live performances, animals, shopping and a create + explore area with hands-on activities for children, face painting and much more.

More exciting additions will be announced in the run up to the which will be held on Saturday October 20th and Sunday October 21st.

Now in its 16th year, Countryside Live usually attracts around 12,000 visitors across two days.

As well as family activities – mostly free once you’re inside the event – there are 2,000 animals on the showground over the two days competing.

From horses to honey, pigs to poultry, sheep to cattle, pigeons to rabbits there are competitions and classes throughout the weekend.

Elsewhere there’s birds of prey displays, hundreds of stands to browse, horticultural classes and farriery competitions.

Tickets are available in advance & on the gates and parking is free and extensive. Please note dogs are not allowed on the showground. Book in advance to save money!
