Harrogate-based Cartridge World welcomes new chairman

John-RichardsonHarrogate based Cartridge World Ltd, the UK’s top provider of refilled printer cartridges, has welcomed John Richardson, as its new Chairman. The company which opened its first store in Harrogate in 2001 and whose head office is based in the town, welcomed John to the company this month. The appointment follows the retirement of Peter Hawkins.

John joins Cartridge World after a successful thirty year career in international business with both the Trafalgar House Group and British American Tobacco where he has held executive leadership roles in finance and general management in Europe, the Ukraine, Pakistan and Dubai.

Mark Holland, UK General Manager for Cartridge World, comments: “With John’s consumer focused multi-market skills John will bring a great deal of knowledge and experience to the business and will be invaluable in leading Cartridge World’s continued growth.”

The new appointment follows the company’s multi-million dollar global recapitalisation process completed in April. The new capital from this will allow the company to focus re-investment on new technologies and strategic growth.

Cartridge World is the market-leading retailer of refilled and remanufactured printer cartridges. Using specifically formulated inks or toners, the Cartridge World stores can refill or remanufacture all major brands of inkjet and laser cartridge.
