Wetherby High Street boutique Olivia Grace under new ownership

16 February 2012

One of Wetherby’s best known boutique clothes shops is under new ownership.

Olivia Grace, located at 23 Market Place, has been bought by Jackie Abusin, who fell in love with the shop whilst working there.

The mother of two insists there will be very few changes to the winning formula, which, over the last 15 years, has seen Olivia Grace establish itself as one of the area’s most popular and successful boutique clothes shops.

Customers, she said, not only come from Wetherby and the surrounding villages, but as far away as North Leeds, Harrogate, Ilkley and Doncaster to peruse the latest fashions.

Jackie, from Hunsingore, said:

Olivia Grace is a superb business and, since it first opened its doors, has established a very loyal customer following.

Having worked in the shop for the last two years I have got to know many of the regulars well and, more importantly, the clothes and styles they want to wear.

We pride ourselves on our customer service and attention to detail. At Olivia Grace the customer really does come first and they have been very supportive of me already.

The shop is in a superb location and Wetherby has a lot going for it. It has the races, it’s by the river and, thanks to the A1, is easily accessible.

Jackie added: “I only intend to make very few changes – why change something that has worked brilliantly for 15 years? A number of new collections are being added to the existing lines we currently stock, which include Brax, Passport, Frank Lyman, Gina Bacconi and Repeat.

“Another improvement I’ve made is to the logo, which has been given its own 2012 makeover. This has taken years off it and already it had the desired effect of drawing in new customers.”

In addition to the latest spring ranges coming into the shop, Olivia Grace is stocking a wide range of wedding outfits, suitable for spring and summer.
