Derelict Drovers Public House near to Bishop Thornton burns down

Fire Crews were called at 00:43 this morning (9th Nov 11) to a fire at a Public House formerly called the Drovers near to Bishop Thornton.

Fire appliances from Ripon initially attended but this was scaled up to 5 appliances with an aerial ladder platform from Harrogate.

Four Jets were used during the incident with the crews leaving the incident by 2:35am.

The  building was derelict with plans for demolition, but it received 100% fire damage and was burnt to the ground.

Fire investigators will be attending today to determine the cause of the fire.
