This year Friends of Harrogate Hospital are celebrating the 60th Anniversary of supporting Harrogate Hospital.
The Friends continue to be a volunteer led charity with no paid staff or overheads raising money to provide equipment or facilities for our hospital and local outreach services.
During this time they have raised £2.4m and purchased thousands of items to enhance the patient experience.
The charity is asking for help to support their work.
They are hosting a charity concert kindly organised by Tewit Silver Band to be held on Friday 13 February 2026 at Harrogate Theatre, Oxford Street, Harrogate at 7.30pm.
Tewit Silver Band is Harrogate’s only championship band. Founded in 2017 to provide advancement opportunities for Tewit Youth Band, Tewit Silver Band has developed from Fourth to Championship section in just 6 years.
The majority of the members are home-grown and play a wide range of popular, classic and brass band music.
The concert celebrates the donation of a complete set of top Besson Instruments, valued at £145,000.
Besson, founded in 1837, are sponsoring the evening’s guest performer – Roger Webster, the world-famous cornet virtuoso.
