Full backing for Rugby Festival from CNG

19 April 2012

CNG has announced it will once again be lead sponsor for the Harrogate Junior Rugby Festival, the largest event of its type in the North.

CNG, the UK’s leading independent supplier of natural gas for business – has teamed up with organisers to support the event (for 2012 the dates are 21st and 22nd April) which marks the festival’s 140th year and CNG’s fourth as principle sponsor.

The fantastic family event – which always draws a huge crowd – will be held at the County Ground at Claro Road and will play host to around 1500 players from between 80-100 teams.

This year’s line-up is not to be missed; as well as the matches the Festival Village will offer something for everyone including fun, games, activities and some much needed food and drink to refuel.

CNG is a major community sponsor for events taking place in Harrogate and beyond. Already main sponsor of Harrogate Town’s stadium, the business is also backing a number of other causes this year including Saint Michael’s Hospice, Hearing dogs for Deaf People and many more.

Jacqui Hall, Managing Director of CNG commented:

We believe in cultivating strong working relationships which is why we are back for another year. We are delighted to be able to support such a significant event on the youth rugby calendar.

We are excited to be part of what promises to be another momentous weekend watching some of the North of England’s finest players battling it out.

David Belward, Commercial Chairman of Harrogate Rugby Club added:

CNG has been invaluable as a main sponsor of the festival for the past three years and we are delighted that this support is continuing with the upcoming festival on 21st and 21st April.

The Harrogate Festival is a major fundraising event in the Club’s calendar giving the Junior section the opportunity to raise much needed funds which support all aspects of the team and club activities including supplies, maintenance and more.

We very much hope that CNG receives valuable benefit from this sponsorship from attending visitors, parents and the wider club associations as people come to recognise the great support CNG has given the junior section.
