Deborah Hathorn is an internationally known Sogetsu Ikebana Master, she has been awarded the Order of the Rising Star Gold and Silver Rays by the Japanese Embassy for her work. She will give a one and a half hour demonstration which commences at 7.30pm, door will open at 6.30pm for ticket holders to enjoy a free drink and browse the various Japanee related stand. There will be a raffle for all the material Deborah uses in each arrangement, plus additional prizes from our sponsors. All profits will go to the Friends of Valley GArdens to enable the to continue their work maintaining the areas of the garden which they have restored, namely the New Zealand Garden, Old Magnesia Well Pump Room and adjoining garden and most recently the Japanese Garden which is being officially opened by the Japanese Ambassador to the UK the previous day.
