Ripon Cathedral Spring Food Home & Garden Show – a great day out for all the family this springtime
On Saturday 30th March the Spring Food, Home & Garden Show will take place; with something for all the family – this is a fantastic day out to celebrate the start of spring.
The highlights of the event include free talks and demonstrations on ‘Gardening on the Menu’ by gardening expert Martin Fish and his wife Jill at 11.30am and a live cooking demonstration by Swinton Park Head Chef, James Cooper at 2.30pm. These are open to all and included in the entry price.
There are lots of activities for children including free ‘Meet the Bugs’ workshops at 12.30pm and 3.00pm, which offer the opportunity to touch and hold cockroaches, snails and stick insects. You can also meet a bird of prey from Thorpe Perrow and there will also be springtime animals on the cathedral forecourt from Brimham Rocks Adventure Park.
We have over 60 stalls of fabulous gardening goods, homewares and delicious local food.
The popular Cathedral Plant Stall will be back again selling affordable plants and the Cathedral Café will be selling soup, homemade cakes and hot drinks throughout the day – with all proceeds going towards the future development of Ripon Cathedral, including building visitor toilets.
The Spring Food, Home and Garden Show will take place on Saturday 30th March at Ripon Cathedral – open from 10.00am until 4.30pm and is £3.00 cash entry on the door, children under 13 enter free.
