Knaresborough Castle and Museum

Castle Yard
North Yorkshire

This summer discover criminal tales from Knaresborough’s past.  Each week a different local historical character will be put on trial and their story explored through family activities.

Throughout the holidays you can pick up a Knasty Knaresborough trail to explore the museum and Castle or a backpack to explore some of the creatures lurking in the undergrowth in the Castle grounds!

Join us every Wednesday at 11.30am or 3pm when we need you to join in our role-play and decide the fate of the person on trial, be it Guy Fawkes, Mother Shipton or another local character!  And from 12.30-2.30pm in the King’s Tower, why not create your own version of the character on trial using our arts and crafts materials.

All activities included in museum admission charges except character crafts (£1 extra per child).
