Our next Hyena Lounge Comedy Club could well be our best line–up ever as we welcome IVO GRAHAM, ROB ROUSE, JAYDE ADAMS and JASON COOK to rip the roof off with laughter.
IVO GRAHAM started his comedy with a bang in 2009 at the age of eighteen as he became the youngest ever winner of the prestigious ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ award at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has since become a regular fixture in the clubs and theatres of the UK circuit, with a gauche charm and crafty, self-aware wit which has proved a hit with audiences of all ages, and led to appearances on multiple TV and radio shows including ‘Live At The Apollo’, ‘Mock The Week’, ‘Comedy Central At The Comedy Store’, ‘As Yet Untitled’, ‘Live From the BBC’ and ‘Fighting Talk’.
A decade before Ivo had his breakthrough, ROB ROUSE also won ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ and has been a headliner at major venues on the comedy circuit ever since.
A brilliant storyteller with more energy than a hyperactive six-year-old sucking on a lollipop while bouncing on a space-hopper, he is a veteran of several critically acclaimed Edinburgh Festival shows as well as three sold out national theatre tours, firmly establishing him as one of comedy’s most lively, amenable and dynamic performers.
In the last couple of years his TV career has taken off with a starring role as ‘Bottom’ alongside David Mitchell in Ben Elton’s hugely popular ‘Upstart Crows’.
Described by Dawn French as the “third funniest women on the planet”, JAYDE ADAMS is a phenomenal talent who packs a room full of laughter with her stunning blend of side-splitting comedy and wit.
She won the ‘Funny Women’ competition in 2014 along with the Audience Award at the London Cabaret Awards and went on to be nominated for ‘Best Newcomer’ at both the Edinburgh Fringe and The Melbourne Comedy Festival.
She featured in Russell Howard’s BBC Two Christmas special ‘A Gert Luch Christmas’ as well as Channel 5’s ‘Borderline’ and Sky Atlantic’s ‘Sick Note as well as regular appearances on ‘8 Out Of 0 Cats Does Countdown’
Hosting the show is the multi-award winning, JASON COOK who takes time out from his hugely successful writing career to join in the fun.
Few people have his warmth and spontaneity and he’s an act you’d gladly watch again and again. Yet, behind his cheerful Geordie exterior lurks a dark, sharp comedic mind capable of taking an unsuspecting audience close to the edge but always intriguing and blessed with the sort of charm that’ll have them laughing in spite of yourself.
His sitcom, ‘Hebburn’ was a smash-hit on BBC2, his comedy drama ‘Murder On The Blackpool Express’ was the highest viewed show ever on the Dave channel and currently he is writing ‘The Chris Ramsey Show’ for Comedy Central.
