A taste of Chile will come to a Harrogate restaurant next month as it hosts a meal with one of the South American country’s leading wine producers.

William & Victoria Restaurant and Wine will welcome Roberto Echeverria, from the Echeverria Winery, for a wine-tasting dinner.

Taking place on Wednesday, September 6, it will see five of the estate’s leading wines paired with a five-course dinner and canapés prepared by the restaurant’s chefs.

David Straker, whose family has run William & Victoria for more than 30 years, said: “It’s a real honour to welcome Roberto to Harrogate and for us to enjoy some of his expertise.

“This will be our second wine-tasting dinner, after a sell-out in June with the Frescobaldi Estates. It was a huge success and really enjoyed by everyone present, so we can’t wait to run this second next month.

“As well as tasting the wines, our guests will hear about how they’re produced and the factors that influence the different flavours of each. They’ll also get to know how to pair them to best effect with the right ingredients in the dishes.

“Like the last event, it will be very informal and enjoyable, and would suit everyone from a novice to someone who takes a keen interest in the wine they drink.”

There are just 16 places available for the Echeverria Wine Dinner on September 6, at £45 per head including dinner, canapés and the five wines to taste. To book, call William & Victoria on 01423 521510.
