Apprentice candidate among speakers sharing their tips for success.

A former contestant on The Apprentice will be sharing her tips for growing a successful business at the 12th annual Yorkshire Business Market.

Ruth Whiteley, who runs Impact Sales Training and was among the contestants on the BBC’s popular entrepreneurs’ contest last year, will run a Sales and Business Development Master-class at the Pavilions of Harrogate Event. The Master-class takes place at 11.30am as part of the programme of seminars during Yorkshire Business Market, which is on Monday, April 18.

Also on the line-up is Jacqui Hall, who will be sharing the benefit of her experience as MD of one of Harrogate’s fastest-growing businesses, CNG Ltd. Her Q&A session, Crazy Ideas to Fuel Your Growth, begins at 10.15am, immediately following the opening ceremony of YBM.

Chamber Vice-President Phil Holmes, of OfficeTech Supplies, who has helped to coordinate the seminar programme, said:

It’s also great to be able to welcome two leading Yorkshire businesswomen to Yorkshire Business Market this year.

There has been a great deal of interest in Google and Microsoft, who are both giving seminars during the day. While they’re global businesses with outstanding advice, it’s also brilliant for local and regional businesses to be able to hear from people closer to home and find out how they have become so successful in their fields.

Combined with a seminar advising on how to get the most from networking, plus networking sessions at the beginning and end of the day, we’re expecting this year’s programme to be more popular than ever.

Finally, Zoe Whitby of ZW Coaching will be speaking about The Four Keys to Unlocking People Performance at 1pm. This is a perfect seminar for anyone who wants to boost the efficiency and productivity of their team, and Zoe’s track record of helping businesses of all shapes and sizes means her advice can be applied in any sector.

Registration is needed for both networking events and for some of the seminars. For full details, visit http://www.yorkshirebusinessmarket.org/timetable

Meanwhile, just a handful of exhibitor spaces remain and bookings are still being taken as the event approaches. More than 100 local and regional businesses will be waiting to welcome the expected 1,000 visitors coming through the halls
