Organisers launch online box office for 43rd Youth Festival

10 February 2016

Organisers of the Harrogate International Youth Festival – Music and Performing Arts, have announced that for the first time in the event’s history, concert-goers are able to book online via a newly launched box office facility on the event’s site.

Traditionally, those seeking tickets to any of the many HIYF concerts would have to book via a town centre box office in the run up to the event, but this was limiting access to booking and some people were simply not able to buy in person.

The new box office (www.hiyf.co.uk) offers a much needed, more convenient option for concert-goers and ensures they can get in early to secure tickets to the often sell-out events including Ripon Cathedral’s Choral Evening and the Jazz Night concert. In line with these quality improvements, the Festival team has also revamped the website to improve overall user experience for anyone seeking group, participation or general event information.

The 43rd Harrogate International Youth Festival takes place from 26th-30th March and has already attracted groups from Ireland, America, Germany and a huge array of local and regional talent.

Since 1973 HIYF has welcomed more than 36,000 participants from 37 countries, with many long term friendships being formed along the way. This is just one of the reasons why HIYF is recognised as one of the leading youth music and performing arts events in the UK.

Lucy Zabaneh, Festival Director for Harrogate International Youth Festival commented:

We are delighted to bring the box office to customers; we know it is something they expect and something that will streamline the process for people wanting to book in advance or for multiple events.

2016 will bring a much loved mix of local, regional and international performers to the area, with events in even more of Yorkshire’s fantastic venues.
