Man dies following collision in Harrogate

A pedestrian seriously injured in a collision in Harrogate last month has died from his injuries.

​The incident happened at 1.40pm on Wednesday 21 October, on Station Parade, close to the entrance to the bus station, and involved a pedestrian and a black VW Golf.

The pedestrian, an 83-year-old Harrogate man, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary suffering from critical injuries but has now died as a result of those injuries.

The driver of the Golf was shaken but otherwise uninjured.

​Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward. Anyone who saw the collision and has not yet come forward is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Investigation Team.
