Young singers prepare for supporting role with Britain’s Got Talent star

5 November 2015

Young singers from Harrogate will be supporting a former Britain’s Got Talent finalist when he performs in Leeds this November.

Rock Up and Sing!’s Youth Choir will be performing with Jonathan Antoine, a classically trained concert tenor, who came second in Britain’s Got Talent as part of duo Jonathan and Charlotte.

Musical Director Rhiannon Gayle said:

This is a fantastic opportunity for our young singers and we were very honoured to be asked to take part.

Anyone who saw Jonathan performing on Britain’s Got Talent will remember his passion for music and the wonderful reaction he had from the audience. We can’t wait to share his energy and enthusiasm when he comes to Leeds.

Jonathan, who lost out in the final of the TV talent competition to Ashley and Pudsey the dog, has made the most of his second place in the three years since. With Charlotte, he sold more than a quarter of a million albums before embarking on a solo career.

As part of his first solo tour, he will perform with Rock Up and Sing!’s Youth Choir at Leeds City Varieties on Monday, November 9. Tickets are available from www.cityvarieties.co.uk
