Rail started the game with real purpose but found themselves a goal down after 8 minutes. A free-kick was curled into the area by Adam Hayton and somehow found the far corner of the net in off the post.

Rail came back into the game and really should have equalised but for the heroics of Jody Barford when he made a double save from Paul Beesley and Dan Thirkell. Railway deservedly got an equaliser on 23 minutes when Ben Parkes fouund Jon Maloney on the left hand edge of the area when he curled his shot past the advancing keeper.

The visitors started the 2nd half the better with Rail desperately hanging on.

A defensive error on 65 minutes helped Ossett Albion retake the lead when Darol Lucas finished from close in. Things got worse for Rail as they were reduced to 10 men when Simon Parkes was shown a second yellow card shortly afterwards.

Rail struggled for the remainder of the game and Joe Fox made sure of all three points for Ossett Albion with a superb strike from outside the area on 89 minutes.
