North Yorkshire: Covid-19 infection rates and hospital cases continue to drop

The North Yorkshire Local Resilience Forum met today to brief the media (3 February 2021).

  • Small number of cases of the South African variant case in Borough of Scarborough and believed to be linked to international challenge.
  • Improved Infection Rates across the UK and all areas of North Yorkshire

All but 1 care home has had residents vaccinated, with 1 with an outbreak where it was not possible.

Ripon has opened today for vaccinations.

Reminder given that protection may only start 2 to 3 weeks after vaccination.
