Bilton co-op staff threatened with bladed weapon

Police are appealing for information after a man entered the Harrogate, Bilton Co-op, on King Edward’s Drive and threatened staff with a bladed weapon.

The incident happened approximately 7.30am today (Friday 28 February) when a man entered the shop and stole two bottles of vodka after threatening staff. He then left on foot, turning left outside the shop on King Edward’s Drive.

He is described as approx. 5ft 5ins, of broad build, wearing an illuminous green or yellow jacket and grey track suit bottoms, and covering his face with a grey and black striped scarf.

Officers attended and searched the area but the offender has not yet been found.

If you have any information, CCTV or dash-cam footage taken in the area at the time please call  North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
