The ambulance service called for police assistance at a flat on Kings Road in Harrogate at 12.19pm on Friday (11 Oct 2019) after a distressed woman was making threats to harm herself and others.
Officers from the Firearms Support Unit attended and the woman was safely detained at 12.40pm.
She was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment and support.
