Provenance Inns new general manager for the Carpenters Arms in Felixkirk

17 September 2018

Yorkshire based Provenance Inns has recently announced the arrival of a new General Manager at flagship property, the Carpenters Arms in Felixkirk.

Although he will be a new face to many of the guests at the Carpenters Arms, Paulo Pinto will be a familiar face to other Provenance regulars, having spent two years at the Punch Bowl Inn at Marton-cum-Grafton near Boroughbridge.

Paulo joined the business as General Manager at the Punch Bowl, having started his career in hospitality as a waiter when he moved to the UK from Portugal in 2006. Working at well-known restaurants in Yorkshire, he worked his way up to Restaurant Manager, gaining experience of financial management and other necessary skills along the way.

Under Paulo’s tenure, the Inn has gone from strength to strength – most recently being named Best Pub in North Yorkshire in the 2018 National Pub and Bar Awards, beating some tough competition from across Yorkshire to take the award.

Punch Bowl Manager Paulo Pinto said:

I love working for Provenance Inns and am delighted to be given the opportunity to work at their flagship property and am looking forward to meeting new guests and welcoming some familiar faces.

Following in Paulo’s footsteps at the Punch Bowl, is new General Manager, Leigh Hudson. Leigh has previously worked in the local area, most recently at the Crown Inn at Roecliffe and commented:

Paulo has done an amazing job and I look forward to having the chance to build on his success.

Managing Director, Rupert Farquharson, said

Paulo is a star performer and has led the Punch Bowl to excellence. I am looking forward to him working his magic at the Carpenters Arms.
