Brymoor celebrates expansion and new look

5 July 2018

Brymor Dairy Limited, independent makers of Brymor Ice Cream based in Wensleydale, is celebrating after winning two new supermarket contracts to supply Booths and the Co-Op.  The wins coincide with a rebrand for the company that has been trading since 1984 and is thought to be the only maker in the UK producing ice cream on the farm from its own herd of pedigree Guernsey cows.

Brymor is already listed with Morrisons and Waitrose and is also sold in more than 300 independent retailers.   The new contracts will extend the reach of Brymor across the Pennines into Lancashire where 31 of Booths 33 stores are located.   The supply to 131 Co-Op stores across Yorkshire and the North East will increase availability in Brymor’s heartland where it has a loyal customer base.

The ice cream has become so popular because of the distinct flavour of Guernsey ice cream.

The new brand aims to celebrate the unique qualities of the product and appeal to consumers who recognise and value both provenance and flavour. It will also allow Brymor to continue its plans to keep expanding across the North of England.

Brymor’s Managing Director Paul Hodgson said:

We wanted our new brand to tell our story as a farming business which really cares about the cows that produce our milk and the simplicity, unique quality and genuine nature of our ice cream.  We are excited to be recognised by leading supermarkets as well as independent retailers and our new brand will help us progress with our plans for growing sales both regionally and nationally.

In addition to supplying retailers, Brymor’s own Ice Cream Parlour at High Jervaulx Farm is a popular visitor destination which serves 30 different varieties of ice cream and attracts more than 300,000 visitors every year.
