Road closure for three days – B6265 Ripon roundabout to the A168 at Boroughbridge

6 June 2018

The B6265 will be closed from the Ripon roundabout to the A168 at Boroughbridge from Monday 11 June for three days for the installation of road studs and road markings following surface dressing.

A clearly signposted diversion will be in place and advance warning signs have been erected.

North Yorkshire County Council’s executive member for highways, Councillor Don Mackenzie, said:

We apologise for any inconvenience this closure may cause. It is for reinstatement work following surface dressing.

Local businesses will be open as usual throughout the work and diversion signs and traffic ambassadors will be at each end of the closure to assist with access or directions.

County council chairman Councillor Robert Windass, who represents Boroughbridge, said:

This is essential work after the surface dressing and the road needs to be closed for the safety of the workers. The work will be completed as soon as possible and we thank everyone for their patience and understanding.
