Pupils and teachers at St John’s Primary School in Knaresborough made it count for children today, Friday 2 February 2018, by celebrating the NSPCC’s Number Day.
Pupils and teachers alike went head to head in fun and engaging math’s activities. They also too part in ‘Dress Up For Digits’ making a voluntary donation to wear an item of clothing with a number on it.
By taking part in Number Day 2018, St John’s Primary School helped the NSPCC to raise vital funds to protect children and prevent abuse through its projects and services, including Childline – the UK’s free, confidential 24-hour helpline and online service for children and young people – and Speak Out. Stay Safe, which sees trained volunteers visiting every primary school in every community across the UK, to talk to children about abuse and where to get help if they need it.

Number day is a brilliant way to raise money for the NSPCC as it allows us to support a worthwhile cause while having fun with math’s to support children’s education. We’re excited to see what creative ideas our pupils and teachers have to celebrate this year’s event.
