Julian Smith MP visits Ripon sights and sounds event

21 March 2017

Julian Smith MP visited the Ripon Sights and Sounds event on Saturday, which is now in its sixth year and celebrates the variety of wonderful sights and sounds Ripon has to offer its residents and visitors. This free event encourages local people to have a taste of the attractions, activities and information they may not be fully aware of.

Julian Smith MP said: I want to pay tribute to the people from the voluntary, public and private sectors who work so hard to bring this event together and it was fantastic to see so many local residents showing their support.

The sixth annual Sights and Sounds of Ripon was held on 18 March 2017, an event growing each year. It saw over 30 attractions, groups, stalls and displays take over Ripon from the Market Square to the city’s three museums, the cathedral, the library and the Spa Gardens.

The free, family friendly community  event, was organised by the Ripon Minster ‘My Neighbourhood’ Project.
